The opportunity that Global Fruit is offering to its prospective partners is very unique in that it gives Ontario’s apple consumers the ability to become apple producers. This new concept will revitalize the industry by changing the way apples are cultivated and by introducing innovative management practices. Global Fruit is in a unique position, with the ability to produce large quantities of high quality consumption apples in an industry that is outdated and unable to meet the demands of the growing Ontario market.

Future partners of Global Fruit are able to participate in a franchise like model, where they will become apple producers. Global Fruit will look after planting, maintaining the orchards, cold storage and marketing the apples to retail chains. Partners will receive all proceeds from the sale of apples from their orchard less Global Fruit’s management fee. Partners will see a return on investment of approximately 10-12% annually for a 14 year period in addition to the tax benefits of being a farmer. After 14 years the partnership ends and Global Fruit will begin the process of replanting the orchards. This concept allows Global Fruit’s partners to become apple producers who outsource all cultivation, marketing and management activities.
